Whilst the EFPT stop in Six Fours les Plages with 5000€ prize money was confirmed one month ago, the organisation has been working on another great addition to the event.
In their recent press release they announced that with the support of two big media partners (continentseven.com and windsurfjournal.com) and further partners who will offer even more cool prizes for the participants, the organisation and Open Ocean media decided this year to engage the public in a video contest open to amateurs. The goal for the freestyle fans and video addicts will be to produce a clip (maximum duration of 5 minutes) with the theme '100% freestyle'. Participants will have time from now on until the 1st of October to film and edit their flick and to send it to email@example.com.
Every video that is send to this email address will be watched and judged by a representative jury consisting of members of the organisation, SFWO and the local association BCB, as well as pro freestylers, the professional video team of Pertusatofilms.com and competition partners. The results will be discussed and the 5 winning videos of the contest will be announced mid-October.
Also the public will be called for the final vote, happening during the EFE/EFPT contest in Six Fours les Plages from the 27th-31st of October on a 'night of projections'. The final ranking will be decided by way of public applause and the five amateur producers will receive their prizes live. The winning video will be online the next day on the websites of the EFE's media partners. Prizes will range from a brand new 2012 4.7 Loftsails Wavescape to an ION wetsuit, MB fins, Contour camera kit to a North Sail Silver Boom (140/190).
