Freestyle Action Roundup – November

December 1st, 2022

Christmas is near, but before we type “all i want for christmas is wind” into our youtube search bars, let’s make sure we first see all the quality windsurfing action from November. As always, we collected the best freestyle windsurfing videos released this month for you to enjoy. This month we will experience some quality POV, discover new Foilstyle tricks and we visit some freestyle events around the world. Remember that the FPT Awards are also open to submissions, so make sure to submit your best clips there as well! Let’s take a look at a quick summary of the clips, and dive in deeper below…

This month we will start with some tasty POV, stepping into the shoes of some of the best riders in the world. First up, Antoine Albert (Goya Windsurfing)!

There is something about RAW clips that is just mesmerising… No music, no fancy transitions, just pure action. And as one of the commenters pointed out, it’s a great way to learn a thing or two about someone’s technique. Did you notice Albert’s fancy ducking skills?

Featuring regularly in our video compilations is Yentel Caers (JP/NeilPryde). The Belgian released another POV video from his sessions in Italy. We’re sure everyone can benefit from looking closely at this years Vice-Champion.

Another regular in this feature is Balz Muller (Severne Windsurfing). We can hardly keep up with the rate at which the Swiss rider releases jaw dropping content. This time you will see him Foilstyling with his brother Jakob Muller (Sailloft/Slingshot) with some unsuspecting workers in the background.

Did we just witness an Eslider on the foil? Not to mention the ridiculously clean Switch Pasko …

On the other side of Europe we see Leon, Jan and David taking on Rugen, a spot in the north of Germany.

There’s nothing better than a session out with friends! One of the best places to meet likeminded windsurfers is at national windsurfing events. This month the event highlight video from the 2022 Danish Open Freestyle and Wave Championships was released. Make sure to sample the action and vibes through this quality video:

The PWA event in Japan was another big one in November. Now you might be thinking, wasn’t that a slalom event? And although you are correct, the light winds on day 2 made way for a tow-in show by some of the best Japanese freestylers. Check out the highlight video where you can seem some beautiful close up shots of the action.

The Japanese are proving their Freestyle potential constantly! The Japanese Windsurfing Association also organised a Freestyle Tournament recently, from which you can check out the best action in the amateur and pro divisions here:

Great to see that the light winds did not stop them from running a competition! There was some quality Flowstyle on display by al riders!

That’s it for this month! Remember to send in your best clips to the FPT Awards (more info HERE). We will see you for the next video roundup in 2023!
